about
Nidhogg was inspired by the Norse dragon who gnaws at the roots of the world tree, Yggdrasil. In Viking mythology, legend has it he will one day chew through the roots of the tree and hark the beginning of Ragnarok, the end of the world. Nidhogg symbolizes, decay, villainy, and the need to release anger. The chorus of the song was written i Icelandic, the closest language to old Norse today. The chorus of this song translates as "release your anger", or "unleash your rage". It is a metaphor for how we can all have moments when our anger can consume us and cause us to lash out with actions that can have serious consequences.

Nidhogg
Lyrics and Music by A. Carter
(Verse 1)
Madness consuming a fragile mind
Tragic and spewing, the world left behind
Animalistic desires grow and grow
One bad move changes everything
Spiral into a rage, but save some blood for me
(Chorus)
Nidhogg, losaðu um reiðina
Nidhogg, losaðu reiðina
(Verse 2)
Mental afflictions creating resent
So much attrition you cannot repent
One moment ruins everything
Say goodbye to yourself and hate will set you free
One bad move changes everything
Spiral into a rage, but save some blood for me
(Chorus)
Nidhogg, losaðu um reiðina
Nidhogg, losaðu reiðina
One bad move changes everything
Spiral into a rage, but save some blood for me
(Chorus)
Nidhogg, losaðu um reiðina
Nidhogg, losaðu reiðina
